From our table to yours — with transparency, warmth, and a whole lot of good food.
These Terms exist because we want to be clear with the people we serve. At Dear Houston, hospitality means honesty — knowing what to expect from us, and what we ask in return. Read on. We kept it human.
By visiting our website, making a reservation, placing a catering order, or attending a Dear Houston event, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, that's okay — but we hope you'll still come find us at the table.
Reservations are held for 15 minutes past the booking time. No-shows may result in a cancellation fee. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Special dietary requests are accommodated wherever possible — just ask us — but we can't guarantee every accommodation.
Catering bookings require a signed contract and deposit. Cancellations within 72 hours of the event may forfeit the deposit. Menu changes must be submitted at least 5 business days in advance so our kitchen can give your guests the experience they deserve.
Tickets for chef's table dinners, pop-ups, and culinary events are non-refundable except where required by law. Dear Houston reserves the right to modify or cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances — in that case, affected guests will receive a full refund or credit. We take that promise seriously.
Dear Houston complies with all Texas TABC regulations. We reserve the right to refuse alcohol service at any time. Guests are responsible for their own conduct and for arranging safe transportation. Houston deserves guests who get home safely.
We take allergen requests seriously and communicate them carefully with our kitchen team. However, our kitchen handles common allergens including nuts, gluten, dairy, and shellfish. We cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free environment. Please speak with your server before ordering.
If you share photos, testimonials, or reviews with us — through social media, email, or our website — you grant Dear Houston a license to share that content across our platforms and marketing materials. We'll always try to credit the source.
All menus, photography, branding, recipes, and editorial content belong to Dear Houston and may not be reproduced without written permission. Houston's story is ours to tell — and we're telling it our way.
We ask that all guests treat our team and fellow diners with respect. No harassment of staff or guests, no unauthorized photography of proprietary menus or kitchen operations, and no misuse of our website or digital platforms.
Dear Houston is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from dining, catering services, or event attendance beyond the cost of the service purchased. We always aim to make it right — but this is our legal baseline.
We may update these Terms from time to time and will notify guests via email or a notice on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
